In the City of Los Angeles, kittens under 8 weeks old are one of the largest at-risk groups at city shelters, simply because they require extra TLC before being ready for adoption. However, once spayed and neutered, kittens are one of the easiest groups to adopt out. Last year, our Mission Hills kitten nursery saved over 2200 lives. This year, our goal is rescue over 2900 - and we can only do it with YOUR help!

Sign up for an express orientation if you would like to become a foster:
• RSVP to the event online at volunteers.bestfriends.org. Go to the LA Foster Program calendar, click on "Clear the Nursery Day" on August, 27th and select your preferred time slot
• We are hosting three express orientations and pick-up sessions to the public starting at 9am, 1pm, and 4pm. The orientation will last approximately 30 minutes (please arrive on time!). After, you will be able to take home kittens from our nursery and foster them until they are ready to be adopted out.
• All supplies needed to care for your foster kittens can be provided by us!

And if you are already a current foster:
