Extended hours and $10 adoptions kick off 6 a.m. on Nov. 24 at Best Friends and NKLA Pet Adoption Centers
This Black Friday, pet lovers can get a great deal on a lap dog or smart cat during Best Friends Animal Society’s #Holiday100 adoption promotion.
The centers will also have extended hours throughout the #Holiday100 weekend, emulating “mall mania” in the hopes of having three record-breaking adoption days.
“Many people bring a new pet home during the holidays, so we wanted to make it as cost-effective and convenient as possible,” said Jose Ocano, Pacific Region Director for Best Friends Animal Society. “So instead of the latest gadget, how about adopting a pet that will give you a lifetime of love and companionship?”
There will be more than 500 dogs, cats, and kittens of all ages and sizes to choose from between the two centers. Each pet is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated.
Since all the pets at Best Friends (and the majority of pets at NKLA) originate from Los Angeles Animal Services, Angelenos can make a huge impact for LA’s shelter pets during the holidays, according to Ocano.
“Every adoption saves two lives – the pet you bring home and the pet that now has space to come into the shelter,” he said. “If you’re looking for new best friend, don’t miss #Holiday100. Our adoption teams are eager to help you make a perfect match.”
The Best Friends Pet Adoption Center & Spay/Neuter Center is located at 15321 Brand Boulevard, Mission Hills. The NKLA Pet Adoption Center is located at 1845 Pontius Drive, Los Angeles. For more information, visit bestfriendsla.org/Holiday100.
