Are you the active type who loves to explore the great outdoors? Well, do we have a buddy for you!

Our “exercise buddies” are adoptable dogs who will keep up with you every step of the way during runs, walks, and hikes around Southern California.

Here are six great reasons to adopt an exercise buddy:

  1. It’s much cheaper than a personal trainer
  2. You’ll be inspired to move every day
  3. Your dog will keep you safe from other critters on nature trails
  4. You'll both stay healthy and in great shape together
  5. Adventures are much more fun with a buddy by your side
  6. You’ll promote the joys of adoption with every step

Ready to meet some fabulous exercise buddies? Here are six awesome dogs to choose from, many of whom have passed our CLASS (Canine Life and Social Skills Program), which means they know commands such as sit, stay, come, wait, and much more!

Woman running with dog
Butterscotch - 6 year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix - CLASS Graduate

Who’s as sweet as her name but calorie free? Butterscotch! This pretty girl with the soulful eyes loves people and will get very wiggly when meeting someone new. She has agility experience and likes to walk on the A frame. Butterscotch has a nice medium energy - part exercise buddy, part couch potato - and will thrive as your only pet.
Woman with dog

Travis - 5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer mix

This handsome fella was lovingly described as a “goofball” by his foster family. He loves meeting new people and going for long walks or runs, with his ears flapping in the wind. Travis appears to be house-trained and has nice in-home manners. Travis would flourish with a savvy adopter that would keep him focused and active. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend for life!
